The August/September
2007 issue of the American Bus Exchange is Now Available For Download!
Welcome to Busexchange.com! Our corporate mission
since day one has been to bring to our readers industry information
"of the most useful kind." Useful information that an owner
senior manager or bus operator can utilize in one way or another to
improve some facet of his or her operation. Readership studies confirm
that we have been quite successful in this mission and as a consequence
our publications continue to enjoy one of the highest readership rates
in the bus industry. This website is an extension of that commitment.
We are bringing together the best expertise that
the industry has to offer to author a series of articles, each focusing
on a single facet of operating a bus fleet. Industry professionals
like Lee Steinberg on finance and Matt Daecher on the value of a written
safety program. This series of articles is titled the Ten Tips Professional
Series and has been specifically designed to help guide operators
through some of the tough obstacles on their road to success.
Why have we undertaken this major initiative? Like
many service oriented industries, the bus industry is a 24/7 hands-on
business. This makes it rather difficult for a majority of fleet owners
and managers to spare the necessary time and expense to travel oftentimes
halfway across the continent to attend the various industry conferences
and events where most management workshops are held. So we thought why
not put these seminars into a published form that we can deliver to
our readers - the owners, executives, and key decision-makers of the
10,500 North American bus fleets reached by the Bus Exchange magazines.
In a way it’s a kind of, "Bring the Mountain to Mohammed":
kind of deal.
Below are the topics covered to date, we sincerely
hope that they prove uselful to your operation.
